Calendars. Again.

Calendars. Again.

I’m fairly certain my adoration for calendars began in college, when a plethora of assignments, papers, quizzes, midterms, finals, and social events began to overwhelm me. Being a visual person, I grasped for order. The first year, I began keeping a planner, which was fine except that I have a tendency to either never open it unless I need to write something new or I misplace it altogether for days at a time. So I also kept a monthly calendar with all of the major events above my desk.

Then when I moved into a dorm with my best friend Christy for our sophomore year it seemed only natural to keep the tradition going. I’m not sure what your dormitory looks/looked like, but the combination of drab pin-board walls and our love of color and art resulted in something of a jumble of things as you see here:

I think you can tell that I'm not exaggerating when I say that we decorated EVERYTHING. The calendar is in the middle with all of our major assignments on post-its.

I think you can tell that I'm not exaggerating when I say that we decorated EVERYTHING. The calendar is in the middle with all of our major assignments on post-its.

As we moved into an apartment junior year with our friends Leanne and Michele, the jumble became streamlined as four personalities blended together. Christy took inspiration from a carpet I brought for the living room and created beautiful paintings-keeping her love of rainbows and I took inspiration from the furniture Leanne contributed to create a perpetual wall calendar where we could all display our major social events (like birthdays) or academic events (like midterms or finals) for the others to see.

As you can see, it was massive and spanned the length of the wall. It was the ideal way to bring some color to an otherwise white wall while also serving a practical function.

Long story short...

I love calendars, I love being (or at least feeling) organized, and I love a little splash of color. So it seemed only natural that I attempt to share it with all of you and after a few months of calculating sizes, putting together sets, and streamlining the process, I am pleased to announce my line of perpetual wall calendars now available on Etsy!

Check them out here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/littledelightofmine

If you've just moved into a dorm room or a new apartment and don't know what to put on the wall, you may just want to consider one of these. I offer both large and small  calendars. They are adjustable so large calendars can span from anywhere between 3'Wx4' and 4'Wx5'H and small calendars can be displayed in spaces between 18"Wx24"H to 24"Wx36"H.

I would be so appreciative if you could take a moment to check them out and share them with friends and family on Pinterest, Facebook or Instagram if you like them. (Shortcut links are below and on Etsy for convenience.) I do also appreciate feedback and constructive criticism!

Delightfully yours,

Lena
